This project explores the integration of dynamic manipulation techniques into MOE-Hair. Leveraging soft robotic manipulators and advanced sensing capabilities, MOE-Hair enhances safety and comfort during interactions, significantly reducing force exertion on the head. By incorporating COLMAP for precise camera pose estimation and NeuralHaircut for accurate hair geometry reconstruction at a strand level, the robot gains a deeper understanding of individual hair anatomy and head shape. This allows for more personalized and safer hairstyling experiences for individuals with limited mobility. This project aims to advance the field of robotics by enhancing the capabilities of MOE-Hair and exploring new avenues for intelligent interactions with the environment.
