Does Time of Possession Predict How Well an NFL Team Does in Winning?

Presenter(s)

Nathaniel Price

Abstract or Description

A common point of analysis for the National Football League (NFL) is Time of Possession (TOP.) Some analysts consider Time of Possession to be a myth, some a valid statistic predicting outcomes, and others an intermediate outcome-based mainly on other variables such as a potent offense. This research paper will attempt to reject the null hypothesis that Time of Possession doesn't predict wins. My findings demonstrated a correlation between increased time of possession and increased wins. Correlation does not equal causation. Many factors contribute to the Time of Possession.

Fun poster! You need to work on data visualization. Tables and graphs are hard to read and easily understand.
