Abstract or Description

Children with ID and ASD are more likely to display challenging behavior than others without disabilities (Heward et al., 2017). Durand and Moskowitz (2015) noted a little prognosis of addressing young children's early behavioral problems. They indicated that those challenging behaviors which are exhibited by children in early childhood tended to last throughout adulthood. 7% to 25% of preschoolers exhibiting challenging behaviors affected their functioning (Bamett et al., 2006). Those estimations of challenging behavior prevalence in young children should be considered by researchers and policymakers, as Dunlap et al. (2006) pointed out. Since Carr and Durand (1985) introduced the Functional Communication Traning (FCT), various investigations on the strategy's aspects and applications have been examined. This systematic review paper aims to focus light on the use of FCT in early childhood settings.

Systematic Review is an excellent way to approach a topic like this, an so important for evidence-based practice. Thanks for your poster.
