Abstract or Description

The research paper theme in my Paideia 112 section was The Black Death. I chose to focus on the persecution of Jews during the plague because, throughout history, marginalized groups have often been scapegoated during times of crisis. The extent of Jewish persecution during the Black Death is a powerful example of this pattern, and it highlights how antisemitism has deep historical roots that long predate the 20th century.
