Investigating Electron Dynamics within Neon
Hamza Mekuria
With recent advances in technology demonstrated by the recipients of the 2023 Nobel Prize in Physics, it has never been more easier to conduct spectroscopy experiments at the attosecond timescale. One example of this is attosecond spectroscopy of various atoms undergoing URABBITT ionization. From this process the electrons display unique behavior which is why this experiment is of interest to many physicists. In this work, we seek to utilize the RMT computational suite so that we can simulate the electron behavior in a Neon atom. In the end we hope to provide additional information about the Neon atom and more foundational information about electrons. We believe this research topic will have applications in various fields such as medicine and chemistry.
