Welcome to UNC Charlotte's Undergraduate Research Conference (URC) 2022! The URC 2022 is organized by the Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) and the URC 2022 Organizing Committee. OUR would like to thank Academic Affairs, the Honors College, the Levine Scholars Program, the Mu Chapter of the Phi Beta Delta (PBD) Honor Society for International Scholars, the Phi Kappa Phi (PKP) Honor Society, and urbanCORE for sponsoring the URC 2022 awards.

Please use click on the Presentations tab at the top of the page to view the 130+ presentations at the URC 2022. Refer to the URC 2022 Abstract Book for a list of all the presenters. We recommend searching for presentations by Abstract numbers or the names of author. We will have Live Sessions on Thursday, April 21,  and Friday, April 22, that include the Opening Ceremony, Keynote Address, Live Q&S Sessions with the students who submitted Oral Presentations,  and a Closing Ceremony with an Alumna Speaker. The Zoom links for all these events are posted in the Live Sessions tab.

8:00 AM: The Undergraduate Research Conference (URC) 2022 Symposium platform opens to the public. Asynchronous reviewing and judging of the presentations can begin at this time. We encourage reviewers, judges, mentors, and advisers to use the Commenting feature in the URC 2022 Symposium by ForagerOne platform to add comments and provide feedback to the presenters. You need to register in order to use the commenting feature.

Thursday, April 21, 2022
9:30 AM – 9:55 AM: Opening Ceremony with comments by Dr. Erin Banks, Assistant Dean of the Office of Undergraduate Research, and Dr. Erik Byker, Faculty Fellow in Office of Undergraduate Research and Chair of URC 2022, and Welcome Video by Provost Joan Lorden

9:55 AM – 10:20 AM: Mr. Seth Flynn’s Keynote Presentation and Q&A Time (Thank you to the Office of Undergraduate Research for sponsoring the Honorarium for the Keynote Presentation)

10:30 AM – 1:30 PM: Live Q&A Sessions with Oral Presenters

1:00 PM – 1:25 PM:  Closing Ceremony with Ms. Taelor Malcolm’s Alumna Presentation and Q&A Time (Thank you to the Office of Undergraduate Research for sponsoring the Honorarium for the Alumna Presentation)

1:25 PM – 1:30 PM: Closing Remarks by the Office of Undergraduate Research and highlighting UNC Charlotte’s Undergraduate Research Journal
