CSUSB Research Week

Welcome to CSUSB Research Week!

Hosted on Symposium by ForagerOne

A Message from Dr. Ryan Keating, Director - Office of Student Research

To All of the CSUSB Community,

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you all to the Office of Student Research’s (OSR) 11th annual “Meeting of the Minds” Student Research Symposium. For the past decade, this event has served as our office’s keynote event—a space for students and their faculty mentors to showcase their research and creative projects—and a place for our campus community to celebrate the long tradition of excellence in research and mentorship at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB). These past two years have truly tested our campus community in a multitude of ways, and now, as COVID still lingers and mingles with broader international crises which impact us even here in San Bernardino in personal ways, we continue to look out on what seem to be almost insurmountable challenges. And as these events tested our collective resolve, I have watched, in awe, as the students and faculty at CSUSB have persevered, displaying incredible tenacity and finding unique ways to continue their research, scholarly, and creative activities in the face of the hardship. This year’s “Meeting of the Minds” stands as a testament to that strength and commitment. You should be proud of your achievements and take pride in your accomplishments. I am humbled by them. Today we celebrate your work and applaud our students and their mentors for their continued commitment to excellence in research, scholarly, and creative activities at CSUSB.

I would also like to extend my sincerest gratitude to our faculty mentors and volunteers who day-in and day-out go above and beyond in support of their students and the activities of the OSR. The growth of our office over the last decade, and our ability to support students in dynamic and creative ways, is largely made possible by your dedication to student success and the opportunities you provide to our students. Thank you all for your support and attendance today, and I hope you will continue to participate in future OSR events.

Sincerely,

Ryan Keating
