The purpose of this study is to use behavioral economic demand curve analysis to identify a correlation between cigarette smoker’s delay discounting and oral health habits. We intend to determine the effect of graphic warning labels including photorealistic images and phrases depicting the oral health risks of tobacco use on hypothetical cigarette purchase task (CPT) responses. We hope to contribute to the discussion regarding the impact and effectiveness of graphic warning label policies on cigarette use surrounding the FDA’s recent policy approvals and explore potential benefits of considering dental health when implementing tobacco abuse interventions.
