Welcome to the 16th Annual John Heinrichs Scholarly and Creative Activities Day, our annual celebration of scholarly, research and creative activities since 2005. 

The 2021 John Heinrichs Scholarly and Creative Activities Day (SACAD) will be held virtually April 12-16, 2021.

The 2021 John Heinrichs Scholarly and Creative Activities Day (SACAD) features 165 posters, creative works, and a special oral presentation. This showcase features the work of undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and staff from all disciplines.  We invite visitors to the event to engage with the presenters by posting comments and asking questions. The presenters will respond as time permits.

Poster Categories: 

• Empirical research involves examining a research question that is clearly defined and answerable by using standardized statistical, or disciplinarily accepted, methods on collected data. This may include either quantitatively or qualitatively collected data. 
•   Non-empirical research focuses on theories and methods and isn’t necessarily data-driven. It involves the curation or consolidation of information or data derived from available sources within a disciplinary domain. This information is reinterpreted or reframed to further study in that disciplinary domain.
